Commissioner, Nidhi Pandey, IIS
Dear Students, Teachers, and Parents,
On the momentous occasion of Foundation Day 2024 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), I extend my heartfelt greetings to each one of you. From its humble beginnings in 1963, KVS has grown into an inspiring institution of excellence in school education. This remarkable journey continues to evolve, driven by an unwavering spirit of innovation and progress.

Mrs. Shahida Parveen, DC, KVS RO Mumbai
Deputy Commissioner
Heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all on the auspicious occasion of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Foundation Day. As we celebrate the glorious Diamond Jubilee of our prestigious organization, it fills us with immense joy, enthusiasm, and pride to reflect upon the remarkable journey we have undertaken together. This day serves as a poignant reminder of the pivotal role this esteemed organization plays in fostering national unity, humanity, and prosperity through the power of education. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is committed to nurturing the holistic development of students, ensuring a uniform curriculum and educational standards across all its schools throughout India. The 69 Kendriya Vidyalayas in the Mumbai Region uphold this commitment by placing a strong emphasis on imparting life skills and fostering harmony through child-centric learning activities. At KVS, our motto is: “Hiranmayen Patren Satyasyapihitam Mukham Tat Tvam Pushannapavrunu Satyadharmay Drishtaye.” Pupils must therefore acquire the knowledge and perspective necessary to overcome the allure of falsity and embrace Satyam Shivam Sundaram through the transformative power of education. As education continually evolves, KVS remains committed to adapting to change. All Kendriya Vidyalayas are currently implementing the New Education Policy-2020, a policy for the revitalization of India in the global context. It aligns with the needs of the times, society, and national culture. In addition to academic pursuits, activities such as sports, music, art, and dance are integral parts of Kendriya Vidyalayas’ curriculum. Utilizing our resources and the dedication of our teachers and staff, students are offered numerous platforms to shape their futures. As we embark on this journey forward, let us reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the next generation of responsible, compassionate, and empowered citizens. Together, let us continue to strive for excellence and contribute towards building a brighter future for our nation. With best wishes, Shahida Parveen

MR. BHARAT BHUSHAN
Principal
Our school’s mission is to “Nurture every individual to be an independent learner with an inquiring mind and strong moral values”, our school aims to develop a sense of curiosity in our pupils about the world around them and guide them to take responsibility for their own learning, while at the same time, be guided by values in their quest for knowledge. There must be education along with moral values. Students must not only be taught academic subjects in school, but moral values and ethics as well. Our school believes in providing a holistic education which encompasses both character development and academic excellence. We believe in providing varied opportunities for our pupils to explore and discover their aspirations and talents. We believe that every child can learn and achieve if he/she is given the right support and environment and we hold the vision that all pupils will become “Lifelong learners, Rooted in Values”. We aim to develop every pupil to become confident & self-directed learners, and nurture them to become morally upright and caring citizens. This is part of our strategic goals to develop the 21st century skills in our pupils to better prepare them for the challenges in the fast-changing globalised world as a confident person who has a strong sense of right and wrong, is adaptable and resilient, knows himself, is discerning in judgment, thinks independently and critically, and communicates effectively; a self-directed learner who takes responsibility for his own learning, who questions, reflects and perseveres in the pursuit of learning as education leads to inner change the attitude, perception, understanding. I do hope that we would achieve the real sense of education and mould our students to reach the pinnacle of moral values not merely the machines of materialistic world.
